The Netherlands National Committee of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (NETHCID) is constituted by the Board of the Division of Water Management of the Royal Institution of Engineers in The Netherlands (KIVI NIRIA). Due to the specialised character of the subject an Executive ICID Committee has been established, consisting of specialists with international experience in the field of irrigation, drainage and flood control. The tasks of the Executive Committee are among others:
· maintaining of contacts with the international secretariat and the other member countries;
· dissemination of ICID-information in The Netherlands;
· co-ordination and preparation of Netherlands contributions for ICID-publications and contributing to international publications;
· preparation of nominations for ICID functions, membership of working groups, etc.
